Hillside offers both English and Western IEA, under the guidance of well trained coaches. This is a great opportunity for middle school and high school students to show at the national level. 'The IEA members compete with a team or on an individual basis in Hunt Seat, Western and Saddle Seat disciplines. There is no need for any rider to own a horse. The MISSION of IEA is to introduce students in private and public middle and secondary schools to equestrian sports and to promote and improve the quality of equestrian competition and instruction.'

Upper and Lower school teams - Coached by Sheila Dunham. Sheila has a passion for interscholastic and intercollegiate showing. Her riders have many titles under their belts as her team continues to grow into its fourth year under her guidance. She rode on the Johnson & Wales IHSA team, graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Equine Business Management and Riding/Training. She also coaches the Boston College Equestrian team.

Her team is growing by the year and taking home more and more titles at the regional and national level. The team is highly competitive and practice often on our wonderful reining horses.
